An interview, a podcast and getting published

So much going on around here lately, but not feeling too overwhelmed. Just yet. I have three fun things to share.

1. A while back, I received an email from Susan of Fuller By Design to see if I was interested in being a part of her interview series "Motherhood by Design: 52 Creative Mothers Talk About the Intersection of Motherhood and Creativity". I was honored she reached out to me about something I find to be a fascinating topic. I loved her interview with Elise. And though I was slammed with many deadlines and other demands, I chose to make it a priority and answered her questions. Hopefully you'll enjoy reading the responses here

2. I was recently on the Paperclipping Roundtable with Noell Hyman, Izzy Video (not his real last name, but I have to call him that especially after the recording) and May Flaum. We discussed the process of the last layout we each created and I learned quite a bit! Going to try and scraplift Noell's and May's awesome layouts soon. You can listen to the episode here and also hear the name of my next collection with American Crafts!

3. It's been a while since I've been published in any magazines, so it was really fun to see the Summer 2015 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today. I miss getting to hold scrapbook magazines since so many of them have gone away. Loved receiving my print copy. You can see the entire magazine online here. My colorful layout is on Page 24.

Workspace Wednesday

While at American Crafts last week, I sporadically took over a few desks throughout the office. I had to finish an assignment that's coming up for something pretty neat, which I plan on sharing here next month. After I finished that work, I figured I had already made a mess, I may as well keep going and decided to make something with the leftovers. I challenged myself to finish in under 15 minutes, and I think it ended up taking 30 minutes, but I am just fine with that. I photographed the steps along the way using my phone.

And here is the finished layout. I like that it's not completely straight and a bit askew.

just plain fun

Supplies are all from my Rise & Shine  collection except for the washi tape by We R Memory Keepers that was in this amazing dispenser. Thinking I may need one of these for the studio. It's been a while since I've made a layout just for the heck of it, and it sure was just plain fun! If you've made anything with my collections, please link in the comments. I would love to see!

One of the things I love about being at a tradeshow like CHA is getting to spend time with fans and friends. It's inspiring just connecting with people who share common creative interests. The energy is almost indescribable. Even though I always feel like I am taking plenty of photos, somehow afterward it never seems like enough. To expand on the little recap I did on CHA in this post, we decided to shoot a little video to showcase some of the favorite things Jamie and I spotted while we were there. I didn't get to walk the show floor that much, but when I did, there were so many things that caught my eye. I wish there was a way to bottle up the awesomeness that I felt a couple weeks ago. This video comes close.

Amy Tangerine and Jamie Waters take you behind the scenes at CHA 2015, with each showing you their five favorite finds at the show. Amy gives an exclusive look into her new American Crafts line, "Rise and Shine," coming Spring 2015.

If you want to see more details of the Rise & Shine booth and collection - both Scrapbook.com and Paperclipping Roundtable did great wrap ups. The collection should be available in stores sometime in March.

And if you haven't downloaded the free #amytangerinehandbook (how cool are all those first pages and covers?!) by entering your email and name, please do so! We love seeing what you're sharing and plan on featuring some of those posts in an upcoming video. We'd also love if you subscribed to the channel on YouTube as we have some fun projects in the works and you can be the first to find out about them. For those of you who have also taken the time to send an email, thank you! The notes truly brighten our days. And since I am currently on jury duty, the extra dose of sunshine is especially nice!
