Signature Series Launch Party week

Hello! I am excited to be celebrating the release of my new Signature Series book! Northridge Publishing will be announcing all the details on the Signature Series Facebook page each day. There are some awesome prize packs up for grabs from my favorite companies like American Crafts, Fiskars, jillibean soup, and more!amytanlaunchI thought it would be fun to share a page by Jennifer, who said: I scraplifted this idea and layout from Amy Tan's Signature Series book. It was a great way to use up my never ending washi stash! I also used chalkboard spray paint for the 2 word bubbles and arrow. Thanks Amy for the inspiration! Thanks Jen for sharing such a fun page!

If you happen to already have my book (Jen got a signed copy from Studio Calico) and have made something inspired by it, please link up in the comments below. I would love to add it to my Pinterest board and possibly feature you this week!

Be sure to stop by the Northridge blog as they are giving away 10 copies of my book today - Happy Monday!

Always Gotta Look Fly

Had the fun chance to chat with Teresa Collins, Heidi Swapp and Noell Hyman on Paperclipping Roundtable yesterday. I wasn't looking very fly in my sweatshirt and lululemon pants, but that's what makes recording a podcast so great - no one had to see me! Other than the fact that I had the song that Heidi sang 1 line of in my head all day (sorry it might get into yours too) - I really enjoyed the conversation. One thing I remembered in the afternoon that I forgot to mention on the show was that Teresa was the first scrapbook celeb I met back in 2007 when she came to Sweetpeas and Snapshots. I wonder if she even remembers that. And when I was cropping at Sweetpeas on a random Wednesday, Britney Spears came in the store (and paparazzi filled the windows with their flashbulbs). While she was shopping in the store, she filled her basket with tons of Heidi Swapp bling. She may have even cleaned out the entire store of it. You can have a listen to Episode 146 here. annmariebookAnn-Marie at CHA showing her Project Life spread in the book || Me wearing a scarf from Kohl's pointing to a poster in the Northridge Media booth My autographed Signature Series is available at Studio Calico.

Some of you have already even received them. Love seeing the tweets and Instagrams about it. For those who have taken the time to send over a note, thank YOU so much. It really means the world to me.

Last year while starting work on my book, I made a deal with Studio Calico to have first rights to selling my signed book online. After some going back and forth in my mind about the best way to get these babies autographed, I decided it was easier for me to fly up to Utah to sign the books hot off the press rather than shipped to me in LA and then turn around and have to ship them to Studio Calico. So I carved out a few days to and with my trusty iPhone in tow, I made a little video.

Sarah Champion, the talented one who designed my book has a giveaway of 2 copies on her blog.

GIVEAWAY: Want a chance to win an autographed copy of my book compliments of Studio Calico? Leave a comment telling me your favorite papercrafting trend or technique. If you already have a copy, you can still enter and have it sent to a friend. Comments will close Sunday, January 27th at 6pm PST and a winner will be announced shortly after. Thanks and good luck! Winner is #52 - Michelle, congrats!
