Hello Kitty's Supercute Friendship Festival!

On Thursday night, Cindy and I attended the launch party for Hello Kitty's Supercute Friendship Festival! The first part of it took place at the Forum Club, and then moved into the actual Forum for the big event. We were lucky enough to get a photo with the star herself on the red carpet! She is one busy and very popular girl.

It was a feast for all the senses and because I knew it would be worth recording, I put together this little video from the evening and also the next day when I was in the studio with all the goodies. Highlights for me were getting a tattoo (temporary - of course), seeing Chrissa Sparkles again, and meeting the Cakies crew! They might be the cutest family ever. I had no idea those bows were all hand-made either. Her tutorial is right here. Hello Kitty Con + Paper Camellia Kits

Hi, it's Jamie here! One of the perks to working on the Amy Tangerine team is going to different events. In October, Amy taught workshops at the first ever Hello Kitty Con. She had me go around and take some photos of the show floor. It was super fun! The amount of Hello Kitty lovers was amazing to be around. There were so many fans, the happiness was rather contagious.The marketplace to buy everything Hello Kitty was decorated so cute! I felt like I was in a little Japanese village.LA Ink was there doing free Hello Kitty tattoos!Cutest light color changing station! And Sephora dolling people up with their adorable Hello Kitty line.Probably the neatest exhibit, the collection of Sanrio bags through the years! I recognize quite a few of those bags, I may have even hoarded them for future gift wrapping options! Cutest disposable cardboard Sanrio chairs, yes! The vintage village displayed many of the Hello Kitty toys through the years. Memories!What a memorable day, I am so thrilled that Sanrio celebrated Hello Kitty's 40th!

Hello Kitty Con

This fun post highlights lots of cute Hello Kitty memorabilia, it makes me so excited to be able to be part of Hello Kitty Con which starts tomorrow!  In the spring, I was contacted by the company producing the event. Then a few months ago they sent over a whole bunch of products to work with. I'll be teaching the only scrapbooking workshops being held all weekend on Thursday, October 30. Hope some of you already got your tickets as all 4 time slots are sold out. And the entire convention is also sold out.
